Sun Studio Original 5x7 Paper Illustration | Memphis, Tennessee | One-of-a-Kind Layered Paper Art

I first walked into Sun Studio in 2009 and thought it was the coolest place I'd ever been.

When my husband and I went back in 2025, we meant to stop for just a few photos but ended up on the tour, holding the microphone Elvis recorded with.

On the real building, "Sun Studio" is painted on the side. In paper, every letter is cut and layered so the shadow reads like paint without getting thick. The green awning is embossed with tiny lines to show the ripples in the fabric.
