Southernmost Point Original 8x10 Paper Illustration | Key West, Florida | One-of-a-Kind Layered Paper Art

$525.00

The first time I went to Key West, it felt like another world.

When my husband and I went back this spring, I was weirdly insistent about seeing the Southernmost Point and was disappointed when the map said it was closed. We walked to the next stretch of waterfront anyway, and there it was. (A temporary buoy, it turned out, standing in during repairs to the original.)

Key West's sky deserved more than one flat blue, so I cut what I call sky squiggles out of the light blue layer to let darker blue peek through. The buoy's stripes carry a stone texture, pressed in from a garden paver.

๐Ÿ“Œ A few important notes:

  • This is a one-of-a-kind papercut illustration

  • Sketched digitally, cut from high quality cardstocks, and assembled by hand in Richmond, Virginia

  • Signed by the artist (lower right corner)

  • Finished artwork is 8 inches x 10 inches

  • Mounted on an 11 inch x 14 inch white acid-free backing board and mat

  • Ready for a standard 11ร—14 frame

  • Colors may vary slightly due to screen settings

  • Ships in 1-2 business days (free Domestic US shipping)
