Most people see Graceland as music history. I wanted to show it the way Elvis saw it: a grand home for his mama.
My husband and I drove the long way there for his birthday in August 2025, through the places we each grew up, then Tupelo, then two full days in Memphis. What stayed with me was family. The stories about how Elvis helped everyone - his parents, Priscilla and Lisa Marie, local businesses, and his chosen family - his friends. That’s what I hope resonates in this idyllic view of his family home.
Graceland's colors are quiet, so the depth comes from layering paper in nearly the same shade. The porch alone is 17 pieces, and 11 of them are the same white.
